It was a night well-deserved for the 8liens. It was Friday, and what good way to cap the week off? Revenge! Bwahaha!
Not that we're a destructive lot. Just the exact opposite. A hectic week (well, what week is not?) has passed. We just want to have a blast. 8lien bonding, that's all.
And so off we trooped to Robinson's Galleria, transformed we are from stupendous geeks to excited little brats each armed with just that tiny little rectangular paper which our dear Nilda handed to us earlier that day. It was an armament that we were holding on to dear life, else we won't get admitted to "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".
Thanks to the car and bus-filled EDSA, half of us arrived with the loud ear-splitting clashes of Autobots and Decepticons filling up the movie house. I didn't have a video remote to rewind the scene. It was the last full show. No luxury to sit back until the next screening. What's gone is gone, the rampage couldn't be built back to life. *Sigh*
Anyway, I could only imagine what I (or half of us) missed with the first 10 minutes of the movie. But hey, the good one and a half of the movie is not that bad. I wouldn't have missed the mechanical humor and the human eccentricities of it all.
Then off we went to the favorite 8lien tambayan. This time, stories (and buckets) abound as each and everyone all wanting to catch up with each other.
I couldn't help but relax. It was such a long time that the 8lien bonded. And yes, it sure was a good night.
