Happy Easter!
And with the commemoration of The Resurrection, I felt rescucitated from the long weekend. Need I say that I slept (and only woke during mealtime -- well, healthy living, you know -- don't skip meals!) most of the Holy Days?
Ugh, what a selfish way to start!
Nonetheless, with my going back to work, embraced again by the vibrant orange walls of the 8lien HQ, I got reminded that 8layer is already 4 years young! What better way to start than to reminisce our 4th Year Celebration at TEN02 last April 2nd?
I know, I know. It is history. I should really be minding the email reminders and ToDo's that our untiring CEO had sent during the long break (when does he sleep and rest? I wonder... a full-pledged alien, I mean 8lien! *wink*).
But hey, one has to start the day and conquer it with a smile, isn't it? I desperately want to remember it because it was my first time to host a corporate event (it should have been Deng Silorio, our COO, but I ought to give her a break, hehe. She was after all the one who gave the Welcome Remarks and really WOWED the audience -- heavenly voice behind the band De Kada that entertained us all night long! Marvelous!!!).
Wooht! April 2nd was a blast; looked formal with the tie-donning 8liens, made funnier by the event's hosts, Pooh-weh! and (s)Pooky (both 8layer-bred), became livelier with De Kada, was more memorable because of friends, business partners, clients, AND competitors who graced it even with the shortest of notice.
What joy to remember! The 8liens even "volunteered" to entertain the crowd. Pooh-weh!, oops, Willy opened the musical act with Superproxy followed by the sought-after brainy darling Bryan wooing the crowd song after song, who was later joined by Renan. Rappers Chox and Henyo also filled in with Parokya and Eheads tunes. Nilda and Roz delighted themselves, and the audience too (haha!) with their own rendition "Suntok sa Buwan".
Of course, we specially want to thank special friends (whom our CEO Meric Mara already did thank during the party, but allow me to have this in print):
For those who missed it, there'll be a Gimme Five celebration next year. So mark it on your calendar (as what Robert Reidenbach of UrSolutions did... we truly hope, Sir, you'll be there... *sigh*).
Yep, we turned FOUR, and we'll give you MORE!
Now, I'll go change my workspace to that which shall make my smile (spiced with an I-am-an-8lien grin) wider than ever -- take the CEO challenge, and keep 'em coming, Sir!
